It’s About Time

What was your primary goal with this photograph? To try and conceptualize the passage of time

Can you walk us through your thought process when you were making this image? I haven’t been setting shots for a while now so I was thinking “It’s about time I set something up again”. That got me thinking about the old carriage clock linked to time, then I thought about the last of the roses losing their petals so added that to the shot, but unfortunately then the whole head actually fell off. I felt like I needed something to balance it and the lamp seemed like a tall, but vintage kind of option to match the vintage of the clock.

If you had to describe this photograph in three words, what would they be? It’s About TimeIMG_1254.jpg
