Not very sure which category this should go into – it doesn’t seem to fit neatly into any of the ones listed in this section? I said to my friend I have been feeling lately that I am stuck in a rut and all my photos look pretty much the same. Blow me down if this morning’s newsletter from Anne McKinnell was on exactly that topic, and her first suggestion was to take a walk with only one lens – the one you never use. So I did that. Attached the wide angle that I bought when an estate agent promised they would use me, but never did, so the lens has been sitting in my bag for years. And left everything else behind so I wouldn’t be tempted to go back to my old faithful. Then I had to try and make something with a wide angle lens. Everything looks very different at 10mm than it does with my usual 24-105! Was horrified to discover this fishing trawler in such a bad state of repair when I got up close and personal with it. Hopefully before the fishing season starts again next year it will be looking a whole lot better.
