How I Shot 4th of July Fireworks.
I began at Leo_Cedarville, Indiana. One of the two shots was shot at 1 second shutter speed at f-11. Arrive at least a few hours early to get a good spot. This was a Sony a6100 mirrorless camera, 16-50 mm lens. This was light weight. The Nikon D7500 DSLR, and Nikon 18-300 mm lens was used at 1 second shutter speed and F-16. This led to taking shots every few seconds. The grand finale on this one was not over exposed. I used two cameras and two tripods at the same time for time management. Be careful not to bump other tripods to avoid camera shake. We will now discuss 4th of July Fireworks on 3 July 2025 at South Haven, Michigan.
Fireworks were fired on Lake Michigan’s shoreline at South Haven, Michigan. Due to the crowd and space, I only use one tripod and my Sony a6100 camera with 16-50 mm lens. This was the first time I had the opportunity to photograph on a lakeshore. This was the first opportunity at a Great Lake. All shots were at shutter speed 15 seconds and f-22.
Finally, the last two shots were at the Battle Creek Field of Flight and Balloon Festival. These are the 4th of July fireworks commemorating the USA’s 249th Birthday.

The fireworks below have converging lines and eyeflow to the other group of fireworks above. Eyeflow and converging lines point to and light Lake Michigan water.

A single eyeflow and converging lines points to fireworks and also points to the water.
15 second shutter speed and f22. The bottom firework was a little overexposed. I did some under exposure on photoshop to minimize over exposure. South Haven, Michigan at Lake Michigan

I used one tripod and a Sony a6100 mirrorless camera. I strongly recommend this camera for fireworks. This is a very light camera. Lens is 16-50mm.
A patriotic red, white and blue converging lfire lines point to the batch of fireworks on the top. This filled the frame with the perfect timing. 15 sec. F22.. Battle Creek, Michigan
