This week is all about intention – choosing what belongs in your photograph and what doesn’t. Instead of letting the scene spill out in every direction, pull the viewer’s eye exactly where you want it by placing your subject inside a frame. It could be bold and obvious, or something subtle that only appears once you start looking for it.
*Tip*Slow down and scan your surroundings for shapes that naturally create borders – doorways, windows, railings, foliage, even gaps between objects.
Shift your position until the frame lines up just right. A few centimetres can make the difference between chaos and clarity.
What story can you tell by choosing what to enclose – and what to leave out?
